Some kind of.. Xmas event?

As we all know, Christmas is coming. ;) I think it would be nice to have some kind of event for that occasion. I guess there was nothing like that in the past, but what do you think?

First thing that came to my mind was christmas editions of the most popular maps replacing the originals during the christmas period and gosteks wearing santa hats, but the problem for ideas like this most of the time is that how the hell are we going to do that.

smiluu, you're right, that would require a lot of work. Someone from the developing crew should say if it is possible to be done or not. I think it would be enough to add snow (instead of rain, for example), wearing santa hats is also a nice idea.

I don't mean playing on the Christmas Eve or something, but the event should be introduced about two weeks before, to make everyone feel that atmosphere. :P The idea about 300 players playing together is great. :D Anyway, I don't think anyone would bother to do it, so in my opinion Santa hats and snow on the maps would be just enough. :P

Whatever we'll organise. ;) Well, maybe an "event" is not exactly what I mean, I was rather about adding snow and stuff. :P But the only way to do that is ask someone from developing crew. Up to now, our ideas include:
-make it snow;
-add Santa hats.

Why? The last time I've opened my Soldat 1.6 a window appeared saying there is a new version available and got me to the download page. The same thing could be done for the Christmas additions.
If you think it's not worth doing it, then the Christmas stuff could be added with the next bug fix release, which has to be downloaded anyway.

I'm not sure if we can actually release Soldat that early.

It all depends on how active the dev team will be in the next weeks/moths.
