Graphing calculator, I dont think I've ever used one of those in a long time. If I need to do heavy calculations, chances are im in front of a computer.

1. It's true. Comparatively Laptops have always, and will always lag behind the technology curve of Desktop computers by several years.

Battery cap?

Do you know of a good graphing calculator app for Windows or Android? I wish I could ditch my ti-84 because I hate buying batteries for it.

I just use Matlab or Mathematica for calculating purposes. I mean, it does everything a graphing calculator does and more.

All my work is no calculator, I had to learn maple but for now it has no application to my studies. It has been that way since 9th grade, so I'm fairing better than most when it comes to rapid computation.

Funny thing is how Macs are 99 % IBM-PC compatible hardware, but somehow they are supposedly so different and better than "PCs" alone by their hardware. :)

No the only gain macs have right now over PCs is the operating system.

Andie Graph, except you need the .rom from your own calculator. Or you can just get it from the internet. (got mine from my TI-83 plus)

I'm sure there is one for windows too, http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/84/8442.html just try to search.

OT: PC of course, but the thing is everything is over-priced. Too much marketing for idiots, and no real strive to further technology (Apple). :(

On windows I would just use wolfram alpha for most things.

Android, you can use Andie Graph (you will need to pull the rom from your calculator, or find somewhere to download one), or wolfram alpha again.

Get the Mac. Then, if you still miss your Windows-Only programs, like I do sometimes, borrow someone's Windows Operating System installation disc and use "Boot Camp" on your Mac. BAM! You just popped a boner.

Laptops will always be a target for thieves.

Unquestionable.

ugh, thieves are only successful if you're a fucking retard.

I have my laptop in my backpack with my all day on campus. It never, ever leaves my sight, ever. That's how you keep laptops from being stolen. You never let them out of your site. Problem solved.

Give it some time.
