Lag spike = telehax
« on: November 06, 2011, 11:14:24 am »
GOD I'M PISSED!!!
I was playing a climb server and I (and a whole bunch of other people) were stuck at this one point of the map. After many failed attempts I finally managed to reach it, however I did this during a ping spike and so it looked like I teleported there.
I told them it was because of ping but they were clearly idiots so they booted me.
My time was wasted.

This ever happen to anyone else?

Oh and don't just respond with this:

Stop downloading porn....

Anyway some people create such lagspikes on purpose on climb servers.
Starting torrents, unplugging the internet and so on....

and yes, it did happen and I got kicked.
I also saw a few other players who had this telespikes and I voted to kick them and they were kicked...

Chill, this is how soldat works :D

I know about lag jumping and I don't exploit it.
People who make these stupid assumptions often seem to be missing something between their ears. Why the hell would I teleport that tiny little bit rather than skip the whole map? I haven't seen hacking since 1.4.2, yet I still see heaps of complaining about it.

No good jump goes unpunished?
