Those in the US can write to their representative. If your outside spread the word if you can or take half the time it took you to say "too bad I can't do anything it. sucks for me..." and sign an online petition their are a few fairly large ones out their. If some one finds one post it here I'll sign anything against SOPA and PIPA.

You're really, really dumb. Learn to spell "develop". If the bill gets passed it isn't just the US that will have to deal with this; it will be the Internet everywhere. Other countries won't matter, nor will IRC still necessarily be safe.

A huge majority of the things you use in your every day life were developed here. Windows, Unix, the Internet, the stuff Soldat is written in, to name a few.

I have written, e-mailed and called my 3 elected congressmen multiple times - SOPA/PIPA scare the crap out of me.  They have huge implications for breaking and censoring the Internet (with mixed levels of intent and a lack of due process), especially in the US.

Please, please, please - if you live in the US call, write and e-mail your elected congress people (do all 3 things to all 3 of your elected people)
