This is a great initiative, hopefully we get some good entries.

Okay, I've been sort of away for the last two days. I updated the first post with the two submissions, so I guess now it goes to testing. If I could get a server running..

I played through them both, and wrote up a 'rough draft' scoring of each of them. Maybe if someone with server capacity could host, or we could use single player to judge gameplay (since both maps have alpha waypoints)

Okay I have a server up running both of the maps, along with 16 Boogie Man's. It's a 4 slot server. Forgot that Mr. Domino's zombie server was a 6 slot, but oh well

We might be a little late judging maps. Server switched to modded, but switching it back. I have my unofficial scores for each map, but prefer to wait with testing.



Testing on my own. My critiques so far:

Improve?: More unique beginning rooms (think Space Station Zombie), maybe doors you could shoot through; maybe removal of bullet-collide shipping containers. Appreciated missile-stat. gun area/crate layers. Waypoints (?) jam horde of zombies at white flag/beginning bullet-colide boxes sometimes. Maybe have deathpoint at end (for players/zombies to kill themselves on); maybe on-fire floor at flag, cycling zombies.

Summary: inf_Stronghold outweighed by a unique theme/style, animated scenery; inf_Battleship outweighed by gameplay, base feel/layout, deadpoints.
