The layout is: alpha is attacking downhill, bravo spawns are on the middle of the map.

Yesterday I was on an urge to map, and I wanted a little help to keep me mapping, I though about mapping together with other mapper. So I talked to MaVeRiCk/PaT0!. It was 02:00 am. The deal was the following: we would do an inf map. I started with some basic layout that I had 10 minutes to make. Then I sent the map to him and he maps during 10 min, then he sent to me and I have 10 min to map. No talking, just mapping. We mapped like that for 10(layout) + 70 minutes and went to sleep. Today we mapped using the same method for more 90 minutes and this is how the map turn out.

haha more than an year later we did another round of mapping
this time each one took a part of the map and worked on it. Later on we put the things together.

changelog:
added double bouncy poly near bravo flag
added bouncy poly near bravo spawns
added background scenery on the building
added only alpha bullets collide on the bravo spawns
added several scenery on the alpha spawns
added walkable pirate sign on the alpha spawns
modified the rock above bravo flag now has a tunnel on it
modified path above building is wider
modified upper island on the right of the building so players can more easily go up
modified polystructure near alpha spawns for better shading



I was something very pleasant to do, without much concerns. The idea was to map as you feel like. I hope is playable. We had NO talking during the making of the map, now we'll discuss some improvements and etc.

This should be default map, very nice layout, and looks are great too.
I hope you will waypoint this map.

The layout looks original and fun to play. Definetly worth testing :)

We have to make some tweaks, and finally discuss about this one, but we'll send it to the map gather.

I don't think that waypointing this one is worthy.
Even if playtesting shows that this map is great, waypointing will be hard because it has some steps, and bravo can't camp near bravo flag, only from spawns to the left, unless I use uber waypointing skills in a way that the flagger uses a different path.
Anyway, maybe I'll ask for help in waypointing.

For a one push effort, this looks amazing.
But even though the Bravo spawn is at the middle of the map, you might want to just raise the entire right side by 5-10 degrees just to make sure Alpha doesn't gain a height advantage.
I really like the looks of this map.

But even though the Bravo spawn is at the middle of the map, you might want to just raise the entire right side by 5-10 degrees just to make sure Alpha doesn't gain a height advantage.
I really like the looks of this map.

I agree. I can see the entire Alpha team spammin' grenades and scoring Multikills  :P

You probably have played it, I haven't, so you make a better point to be honest, but I can imagine the Alpha team taking a couple of minimi's and spraying down those tunnels, then spamming some nades. It would make Bravo's life a bit difficult.

Not much of a problem since Bravo players can spawn at the top as well, and as soon as the red guys cross the line and try to cap they're in disadvantage.

I agree with darkcrusade, but I didn't test it... (I don't know if As de Espada playtested it)
So my opinion is based only on my "feelling" during the mapping process.

In fact, I still don't have a formed opinion about this map except that the whole mapping process was kinda fun and nonsense heheheh I just hope not have screwed As de Espada's idea...

Nice methods guys and glad to see you producing maps again :)

In large view, map idea sounds good, something neat could be build for it.

Other than main idea, the map is based on basic elements, polyislands here and there. I'm not very fanatic about such simplicity, but I guess public players will like it.

I'm pretty sure map is very advantageous for bravo team, as they have high advantage to players who are reaching flag or escaping with flag. Also the flag area is very easily sprayed as it gives nearly nothing to cover.

It's also very likely that map suffers from medics pile up issue. And medics will pile up onto the highest medic spawn(s) spot, as it's only spot where medic can spawn when alpha player takes medic (it's long and messy to explain but with your experience I expect you to know how medics work). To fix medic issue you should give alpha flag lower position and in addition there's no point having alpha flag at alpha spawns in any way.

Seems a 2002~2004 map. Just compare that design style with VirtualTT's  (or other great map makers) maps.
I think that new players dislike this kind of design ;)
