All you're describing here fits, imo, into launcher and not the game itself. In the launcher all the news could be neatly displayed, there could be tab with community links and everything.
Still probably we don't need that sort of thing in soldat. We could modify starter.exe but I personally never use it...and I doubt anyone does. Unless this starter.exe had this welcoming screen where you choose the profiles. We could add to it the resolution changes and make it to be launched by default. Then we could "upgrade" it with community stuff you're talking about here.

I hope someone can make a better one as I don't want to invest more time than this.
The size 400x50 the file type should be gif.

(Yep it is horrible on purpose)

The whole interface always has looked terrible for as long as it exists.
It's not a priority, because it doesn't affect gameplay. But it's so damn ugly.
I thought there already were some ideas or designs.

Doubt there will be anyone who cares about this now though especially with this low ass activity.

This is not about the interface but about the logo. Please stay on topic.

People asked for a way to advertise for sctfl. They have now the chance to get their logo on the splash screen.
If you tell other people about this maybe someone will put a sctfl banner together.

the logo does not matter. It can either be the existing logo or plain text. There needs to be a new GUI (still) + something like Soldat Portal (Live News).

Everyone has fake registered his game, no one will see the splash screen nor click on it.

That's just the lazy way, sorry.

I dont know why you even let ppl. create tons of mockups / layouts / designs for great Menu GUI's or Scoreboards if you actually know that you'll not add it into the game. You keep discussing in these topics on 10 pages about but in fact it seems you never considered to change it anyway.

Correct me if im wrong and if you actually have something ready, but I'm pretty sure I'm right and we will never see some of the layouts some community members 'wasted' hours of their work on.

Another option would be to integrate the competive scene into soldat.pl, which won't be ever changed in history either, apparently.

@darDar you are missing the point. This change is for 1.6.9 related changes which is a very short term release. Larger changes can be expected in 1.7. So if you want something larger you should make a new thread about it and make sure it is clear that it is a long term/huge change idea not something for 1.6.9.

I wrote is somewhere already (i think): The logo should be smaller (not 3mb) ideally < 500kb.
Also not sure if we can play animations in the nag screen.

They're dark intentionally. Brightened them a lot more. Feedback would be nice ^^

I'd leave out the animation.
I'm not sure people actually like animated banners and since the banner is the only graphical thing in the window it will stand out anyways.

this is too cool :> and people do like animated banners because you can't take your eyes off it, and that should be the purpose i believe. However, if Shoozza prefers normal banner then my vote goes to
