Hi everyone, I'm currently in the process of making a soldat clone which incorporates ideas from Crysis2 (basically invisibility and armor, plus a tad slower gameplay for instance no proning). I'm looking for people interested in doing the graphics for the soldier (including animations). Atm im using the ones from soldat but they dont fit in for two reasons:
1. They are plain soldiers (ie, nothing like
the c2 soldiers)
2. They dont fit with the increased resolution. This is mostly due to the animations not scaling.
Animations are not the only thing that works with soldat's format, it also partially loads soldat maps for now. The animation work would be done using soldat's own .poa format and POA editor (I have a copy if you can't find it), the graphics are the same as in soldat except it's all in a sprite sheet (gfx/player_parts.png). http://www.filedropper.com/clientbin_1. Since the game uses somewhat modern OGL3, you will need a decent graphics card. It runs on integrated intel HD's at least, but I don't think it does on any other laptops. For desktops you will need a discrete card. For the lazy, here's a video showing what's done atm:
