League of Friends is back with 3rd HTF season!

Welcome everyone. I'd like to invite you all to join our upcoming season in Hold The Flag mode. LoF was set by two Polish players almost three years ago and have carried the total amount of 13 successfull seasons in different game styles: CTF, HTF and mixed (CTF+HTF+TDM). Since last year we are one of the official Soldat leagues and currently we've become a global league (we were mainly EU league earlier). Here's our news which introduce the beginning of signups to the LoF-HTF III season:

Hereby, we open signups to the third edition of Hold the Flag season. This game mode, underestimated in Soldat community, found a permanent place in our League and pays quite good attention. We believe it will be the same this time. To remind you, I present you a very few and most important things around this season. Matches can be played on all of the standard HTF maps and htf_Boxed remains TB map. During freeplay stage matches can be played in 2vs2 or 3vs3 rosters, but in playoff they are only 2vs2. It means than even duets can proceed – we encourage bigger clans to divide into few, smaller teams, so the competition will entertain much more. It is worth mentioning that few maps has been added recently: htf_Dorothy, htf_Feast, htf_Mossy and htf_Tower. You can meet yourselves with all the HTF maps here. Upcoming season brings few crucial changes. Except amnesty, mentioned in previous news, the penalty points expiration system also has been changed: since now the sum of penalty points will be decreased by one point for every 14 days during season. In the last season we were testing a new scoring system for second freeplay stage and we concluded that +1 point bonus for every match played made its job well. That’s why we decided to maintain it.

Another one, this time milestone change for our activity is about so called “ping limit”, which excluded efficiently players from South America, East Asia and Australia. After previous season end we carried a survey between all the clans whose played at least 10 matches. This teams told their opinion about the removal of ping restrictions in the League. All in all it was a group of 22 clans with vote law and the results are as follows:

As you can see, the majority was pro limit removal, and we concur to this decision. It forced us to get few servers located on other continents. CheeSeMan helped us here, giving to us two servers located in New York. They will supply the league servers pool from our sponsor – Zabijaka.pl service.
