I whas thinking if you could ad a new directory to the forum, where newcommers may post a thread and introduce themselfs and tell people who they are and what they like and all that...  ;)

I think the concept is great, but I'ma go with the "we will be spammed" crew. Kingkitty's idea is definitely something to consider, though.

We don't get that many "hai2u i'm new hearrre" posts anyway. A sticky would be nice to the few that do post posts like that, though.

What if every topic in the "new forum" part was automatically locked, so all the topic has to say is about them, and that's it. No spamming or nothing.
