Made another Htf Map. Deserty. It has a nice atmosphere in game. Credit to whomever made the texture, and SK for his alpha scenery.

I like these maps a lot, but the lack of borders is driving me nuts. There's nothing I hate more than flying out to far and warping back when I respawn.

Geologist, Do you think I should use death polys outside of it, or put a poly out in space, or leave it?

Sorry to be answering the geologists question, but I enjoy maps that dont have borders, but it should take a couple seconds to get to the respawn area of the map, not like just a 2-3 inches off the map but like 5+....anyways thats just my opinion.

No worries jett ^_^
That's a tricky question Wraith...there are some maps wrapped in death polys, and some people really don't like them. On second thought..just leave it as is. It would be a shame to see a nice map ruined by a tack job lining the map with new polys that might not fit the whole scheme of the map.

Very nice!
I made a map with a very similar layout a while ago and it played pretty well so I'm sure the gameplay with this map will be good.
You've aced the theme with this map as you do with your others and the map has a nice balance of scenery.
I still think would be good to give the map a border... it's really anoying when players run from you when they're on low health and simply jump from the map, spawning far away with full health. My way of making would be to use 'hurts' polygons on the top and side polygons and 'deadly' polygons for the floor. If you're going to make the side polygons sloped so that the player could stand on them you might want to use deadly instead.
Good job on the map. Â

I think it would it be best if the smoke at the top was set to "front" and had opacity at 50%-75%. The coloring is perfect, and scenery is well-used. I do agree with Geo about the borders, though.

i think the shading needs a tick more of contrast to add more depth

Would be brilliant if you'd make border for it and fit cloudy background to map dimensions (with border only black part would be visible ingame).
