?????
« on: August 24, 2006, 04:01:20 pm »
I'm kind of new here... so I'm not sure if this problem goes here... but I'm wondering if when I start a game does it automatically make it a LAN game? because I've tried everything.. and I'm trying to have a LAN party... but sadly the LAN party failed... because they couldn't connect to me.... I've messed around with the network options in-game and in the configuration utility... still is not working....

Any help would be greatly appreciated

--Much Thanks

Under the options tag, in connection type, make sure it's type "LAN". I doubt the lobby server works for LANs, i've tried it and it didn't so you will probably have to make people who want to join the game enter the lan ip for your computer in the IP input box.

We've tried that... It also doesn't work it says conecting... But it never does....

now everytime we are in the lan lobby it says something about...

"Lobby server is not responding. If it your connections fault please try again later."

and it's not saying it once... it pops up over and over and over...

know any way to fix this??

Perhaps you would be better off spending your time setting up the dedicated server program to run the server, then you join your own server.

Please create your future threads with more descriptive thread titles/subjects.

Good someone posted this topic, I never knew how to make LAN work, and still don't know. I prefer making it by Internet lol.

Well, I just so happen to have a program I made last year which scans a 192.168.0/1/2.* subnet for LAN Soldat servers and tells you the IP/Port of any servers that reply... I used it at school ^_^
