ctf_Tiger (1.6.7+)

Hi!
As first i wanted to use a "Super Mario 64 first snowland"-theme but then it became like now.

- ctf_Tiger8:

- Fixed the use of Background- and Transistorpolygons. Polygons: 264
- Added only bullets collide polygons to tree and rocks scenerys

Note:
- Need Soldat 1.6.7+
- No jet
- Waypoints: 50%

Its look nice but... its... a bit unplayable. :/

Its hard to guess where you can walk and where are polygons. Sceneries "beats the eyes", so its hard to see where are your character is and where to stand.
And its bad idea to make so huge polygons that cover everything(on edges of map ice polys, near bounce).

Its just hard to focus on game.

Its maybe a question of habit..

And its bad idea to make so huge polygons that cover everything(on edges of map ice polys, near bounce).

The bouncy polygon edges arent bad like on the viewing picture and big transistors are needed because everywhere polygon bugs appears (you get sucked).

Its look nice but... its... a bit unplayable. :/

For me this map is like the map "Langrage" but I dont see why this should be unplayeable.
I have played and runned throught a bit and was getting better feeling on walking and using the bouncy polygons.
Maybe you get too fast a statement 5 minutes after releas?

Beside Why you didnt use new polygons in this places? if its for 1.6.7?
player cant jump from bottom to upper part. Or did you forget about Background Transition Polygons?


and this two point in both sites are covering player(I was talking about this)



PS. I dont get all sceneries in clean 1.6.7b1 instalation I get this, you should putt all graphic in rar:

It became so because the polygon wich you want as background polygon is already over/under a background polygon.

and this two point in both sites are covering player(I was talking about this)

Like the sceneries everywhere on the map are hiding you.. i dont know if is that problem but if then i could try making the corners more transparent.

PS. I dont get all sceneries in clean 1.6.7b1 instalation I get this, you should putt all graphic in rar:

Why you didnt just use non collide polygons? New polygons are good for making new passage rather than using them as a background textures...

Because non colliding polygons are hiding your player.

Why its not good to using it as a background texture?

New polygons are good for making new passage and good for making background textures :)

I don't know if it's only me but, I spawn in texture on both sides/teams, and when I spawn on the top, I can't go anywhere.... how you play on this map? but it looks very nice!

You can play this map with the beta releases of Soldat 1.6.7
It dont work on Soldat 1.6.6 and older :P

Update

I have also a problem on my new laptop Win8 Intel Celeron. It is that not all scenerys get shown as you can see on the picture.
Maybe it comes from the gameboooster settings... but idk



Please post if you know what is going on or if you have the same problem or any other problem.

I get all scenery when I play it in 1.6.9b1. I also get all scenery in 1.6.8. Maybe you need to update your gfx drivers or something.

By the way, you could play around with lighting. I did some experimenting myself when I was young: https://youtu.be/a405DkgqWYs

Could also use shading for better 3d effect

Maybe also fix the texture a bit
