Screen Shaking - discussion.

I see screen shaking as something that alters gameplay in a negative way.
Will it be possible to reduce the amount of screen shaking when there are many players in a server? Or if the event is not happening on your screen. Or even a serverside option to turn it off completely

There is shaking when explotions happen (m79, Law, nades) And there is shaking when you shoot normal bullets. I do think it would be dull to remove explotion effect on everything, but it is overused.
For example when you use minigun, there should be no shake effect when you shoot normal bullets because using that gun makes the screen shake so bad it makes it harder to walk.
Screen shaking is disabled when you spectate or playback a demo, but I think devs forgot to remove it for normal bullets, it's only disabled for explotions.

Is the screen shaking bothering you because it degrades accuracy, looks annoying, or something else?

For video making it's annoying that the camera move when people shoot. I want to control the camera movement completely.
When I play it's harder to walk fast. I feel like I have to wait for the gound to stop shaking before I can do a sucsessfull cannonball. Harder to time the 'up' button for getting speed.
It also reduce my accurecy I guess but that doesn't bother me much, It's more the combined disturbances of lagg, fps issues and shaky screen, especially with alot of players in the server.

Don't get me wrong, it's a cool feature, just a bit overused. I wanted to put the discussion out there incase more people felt the same.

Like I say in the edit of the opening post, the game feels strangely lame without the shaking. I'm all for allowing disabling it in demos and maybe even for spectators though.

For me it's annoying especially in crowded public servers. And it makes me miss-time many jumps.

It's weird that the screen shakes when you're in air, air doesn't shake!

I've gotten so used to the screen shaking so I don't even notice it when I play. Unless I'm playing with Barrett, then it can become quite an annoyance. I agree that it probably should be possible to somehow disable the shaking in spectator/demo mode. I'm not sure about having a server setting for it, I'll wait and see if anyone else has something to add.

F12, but not big shakes. Smaller than on gif and be epic :)
