The Next Laos
« on: August 25, 2006, 12:45:05 am »
Yep, i've already got another map underway.

This one uses all the stylings from Laos. Unfortunately, polyworks crashed and i lost all my scenery work, so i'm only done the polygons. Here's an overview.

The map is going to be called ctf_Delta unless a better name can be made ;)

What i want to know is this: should i make the map more cramped? as it is it has ample airspace, like in ctf_Run.

EDIT: Scroll down for a download link/updated screen if you wish to waypoint this for me.

Awesome, I love Laos.  Yeah, I suppose it should be a bit more cramped.

I really like this map, it looks like a hybrid of Ctf_Run and Ctf_Laos, yet has a completely different feel. Very well done, may I say?
The roots on the lower route look very good. If I have any criticism, it is that the  flag platforms look a slight bit out of place without supports. The blue flag should also have the overhang, kind of like the one that is above the red flag.
Other than that, very, very, very well done.

They had supports before polyworks decided to screw up :<

And i think i'll move the huge islands down more. The space between them and the ground will be smaller, but i'll leave more airspace by the roof.

Reminds me of Death20. Looks pretty cool, but I don't like the respawn locations.

The layout is actually more reminiscent of ctf_Run

Where would you set the spawn locations?

I kind of like how the respawns are closer to the middle than the flags for a change....

Oh, fine. :P At least make the holes a bit bigger where they respawn at; they'll be easier to waypoint once the bots pick up momentum.

I mean, uh... I'm busy with skool. Go talk to, um... yay101 or something oO'

Holy ****, this map is looking awesomer by the minute.

I've finished the scenery, i've never felt more pleased with my scenery work than now. The person who waypoints this for me can have my babies.

Murmur...

I might waypoint it sometime this weekend, but like Keron, I have schoolwork to do.

del-ta [del-tuh]

–noun

a nearly flat plain of alluvial deposit between diverging branches of the mouth of a river, often, though not necessarily, triangular

I thought it suited the map purty well :P

EDIT: i'm bored, i'll waypoint it i guess. ^___^
