Yeah, goodness, I used to come here daily. Being here for 7 years, I don't want it to disappear. I still rely on this forums for, well, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT. Lol, maybe not literally, but it's a nice reprieve. Plus, in a month or so, I'm going to go back to mapping.
Anyway, I still really enjoy this forums. A merge into a THD forum would suck, and would probably not look half as nice, plus we'd lose our independence and the chance for oldies to come back to what they used to know.

Bleh, a shoutbox would just shit up the forums.
And having veterans visit is in no one's control.

Devlogs (and discussion related to the game's future in general) are the only reason I really visit here day by day and I guess I'm not the only one.

Unfortunately does this place have validity for being independent aside from devlogs that could be combined with a larger forums? I guess I would argue, yes, given that I've already said that it gives veterans a place to rejoin, and that the game popularity could spike with future updates (desperate, but maybe).
I'm glad an attempt to keep this forums alive is out there. I think of the forums from time to time...
I used to sit and refresh the forums, waiting for responses.

I still do that. Whenever I'm on a computer, even at work at every job i've had, I always have an 'Active Topics' tab open and refresh it periodically throughout the day. I know some oldies refer to these forums as their first "internet forum" and have since moved elsewhere, but I haven't. Only forums I visit are these and 4chan, the latter of which doesn't count as its stateless and i only browse it when i'm drunk at 2am. Even if I didn't get into a staff position in the soldat/thd community and gain responsibility for maintaining the soldat forums/servers, I'd still come here and refresh active topics as a community member.

God DAMN that looks good. I should probably learn to cook and buy ingredients to make that kind of sandwhich. Food porn is always welcome, even if it's for the sole purpose of keeping a forum alive. I don't know what that bowl is filled with though.
