Nobody ever linked me to the bugreport on that one, so i guess it's not that important.

Fix please. Super easy to reproduce.

Accounting for lag in that regard doesn't sound like something "super easy" to fix.

I'm well aware of what you said and read it properly the first time, was just pointing out that it might not be as trivial to fix as it is to reproduce.

Lag jump has always been present. Many people don't even know about because it's not affecting them. Make it a feature, call it "escape to the sky" or "escape out of a map". But it's useless in a combat so why do we bother with that anyway. Leave it as it is together with other cool classic stuff :).
btw: fixing it would be probably as hard as fixing eats in my view, I guess there's no boolean called Lagjump which is set to true...

What makes you say that? This sounds like it could be useful to escape really quickly with the enemy's flag.

^ It might be good on big open maps where's no ceiling to stop your escape and the map is high enough so you don't get respawned. It might be a cool tactic in the end but not tested in real combat. You might loose the flag when lagjumping or get killed... dunno how you would appear to the others when lagjumping.

It's a real annoyance in climbing, where everything is deadly and the way back is long.

Right now you have to unplug your internet cord and then plug it in again, so it's hardly useable except from climb, where you can skip half of the map sometimes and noone can stop you with a gun. You also have to stand on the ground - standing in the flagspot for 5 seconds without your connection on CTF?
It seems like you would need to fix this bug anyway and thaen think about making something similar to it, a spell or sth. But then on the other side you have that lovely m79 than can boost you really well and i don't think that this furure would add a lot to the games (we have many more cool stuff that could be implemented).

And then there's the router switch or whatever it is and whatever it does, not sure what function does it have. I remember Kutwa(Emh) had it on his router and he could make small lagjumps because the button allowed him to get lagged just for a moment. So when his jump was way too low then he used that button and it boosted him up few more feets(something like another late backflip or just normal jump in air)... I dont remember how it looked like.
Call that little teleport thingie :D... That's even better stuff.

You guys never heard of lag switches?

Some people even build them in their controllers.

Lol, back in 04 somewhere I remember testing lagjumps on my maps and then making layout changes to prevent them. I had a laptop so it was easy and fast to rip off the cable, then plug it back in. I've totally forgotten about it through the years though.

Lagjumps sounds like a fantastic feature, f12.
