I'm working on a CTF map and I decided to share my progress with you. I still need to do the scenery part, and fix all the polybugs, but I'd like to know what do you think about the layout? If you have any layout oriented ideas - I'm open :] ~Cobra's size.

Not much to say, looks good.
M79 or deagle top
Spray mid
Spas, Grab flag and escape low
One teammember should probbably be defensive due to the flagpoints aren't safe.
The flag might fall in one of the pits where you can't reach it right?

Everything you see on the map is made of normal polygons, colliding with the flag. I was thinking about making the "bones"(or sth) only player and flag collide - what do you think? The only thing is the deadly pit in the middle bottom and under the bridge at the top.
That means you can reach the flag everywhere, harder to do if it falls in the deadly pit in the middle ofc. I was thinking about adding a slope behind the flag to make it less vulnerable to spas/spray.

From the image, I imagined the red parts to not be colliding with bullets or flag

The deadly middle-low was obious :)

Yeah, they are colliding (normal) atm. But I'm wondering if i should make them only player collide + flag collide, to make the gameplay a bit more interesting. I don't want these parts to be flag-through because then the gameplay would turn into a DM everytime the flag falls somewhere you cant grab it.

Ok, ill change these parts to allow bullet pass. Ill have change the top a bit, becasue the deadly part will mess with the OPC polygons :B

My idea for this map is to add on low something like peak like this.


Btw. mb change color of map to more unicorny and emm. u know. pink :D

Yeah I can make the bottom-middle transition more fluent, though I'd rather go fro 2 smaller slopes on both sides and keep the deadly pit as it is atm.
Right now I'm struggling with the top bridge - I managed to make it stand out of the rest a bit, so ppl won't have problems with telling apart what is normal, and what OPC. I also think I will make the top bone structure NOT colliding with the flag, so you can throw the flag through the bridge - as i think all would expect it to work. I'll also have to delete the deadly part up there for obvious reasons (combining different poly types - where are you?! :'C).
Thanks to the background polygons i could add some shadows, so it looks like this atm. Still a lot to do tho :>
