Quick-select a map for voting
« on: October 01, 2014, 02:46:51 pm »
Is there actually a way to quickly select a map for voting instead of going through the whole map-list every time??
Sometimes it takes so long, that the server-scripts warn you not to camp...

If not, eg. a scrollbar-list would be nice.. ..just like in the single-player-menu.
Maybe that's a reason why so many players don't even think of voting own maps..

/votemap <map>
/map <map> (if you're admin/single-player)

eg.
/votemap ctf_Ash
/map ctf_Ash

Scrolling sounds fine but it doesn't help much when it comes to climb maps and you've got like 3k+ maps in your map folder. So knowing map names and /votemap is sufficient in my view. But yea, that's me again just talking about the little dull climbing mode.

Ah that's possible, but it's not really user-friendly. At least not for me... Imagine you would have to do that in the single-player menu too.
I can't remember all that maps names. Esp. all the climb-maps!
And who knows, maybe while looking at such a list, one finds some interesting maps, one didn't even think about..

It as well would be nice to have some groups, like DM-maps, CTF-maps, climb-maps.. I know some are interchangeable, but there always is a predestined usage per map ... usually.
