Kit Parachutes

If you place a MediKit, GrenadeKit, Bulletproof Vest, etc. high up, just like a soldat spawn point, it should float down slowly on its own parachute. ;D

Kind of like in Worms: Armageddon.

I likey the idea.

Also, the kits should make a distinctive sound when they spawn. Kind of like the utility crates from Worms ;D

Really? Never played the game.

I just thought this would be useful for cool recorded movies. Right in the last moment of defending Bravo base from the Alpha infiltrators, you're down to 5% health... and a MediKit drifts from the heavens~ :D

That would be a sweet addition and entirely possible.  Like in worms, the crate would only spawn a parachute if it was a certain distance above the ground.  Genius.  XD
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

I love this idea. But what color should the parachutes be? Maybe green for nades, and white + red for healthpacks.

green for normal nades, yellow for clusters, red-white for meds, red for zerker,  blue-white for pred, and orange for flame god.(if i forgot any powerups, please speak up) Just an idea.

i like this idea, make the parachutes just a image so it can be modded :) ...and this would be cooler than just regular falling imo.

I think this idea has been suggested before, and I like it a LOT. The only bad thing is perhaps that this would need more packets to be sent with the 'chute data. But I guess some things are worth it!

in that case I say: 2 types of HP. 1 that is normal. and 1 with parachute
so we don't get parachutes on those spawning on the ground.

You don't get parachutes when you're spawning on the ground though, so I think we won't need 2 different types. F11 though, there are a lot of other features and stuff that should go first.

I thought you meant a crate that when you pick up you'd get a parachute which you can execute with a button or something :D

Then I read the post. Also a cool idea but like Toumaz said, more packets, and what would be the point in the end?

I think it would give Soldat a nice touch. Would be excellent for modes like TW and Mission mod.

Suggested before, turned down.

I won't reject it, doesn't seem to affect gameplay too much, and sounds cool. However, see if the Soldat develop team has time, coz this isn't necessary. So f13 for me.

I think that since this suggestion was already added to public demands (years ago)
Kit Parachutes; Keron Cyst (GrenadeKits, MediKits, and bonuses drift down on parachutes if spawning from a high altitude, like soldaten)
so it is known that this idea is supported, there is no point in posting things like "F12, I support".
Of course posting something innovative in old topics is another thing.

For some reason when i first read this, i thought of Parachute Kits(that you can pick up). that would be cool too...like have a kit at the top of a ledge, then float down to attack enemies in surprise.

I like this idea a lot. Also, I think it would be made even more dramatic if the kits kind of drifted, like left or right as they fell, so if someone was pinned down from enemy fire in a large bare ravine, and a medikit floats down and flies over the player's head, and if they jump at the right time they can catch it, or if they miss it, it lands right in the middle of the enemy fire.
