I'm against it simply because it reminds me of this fake world of a hell which I am trapped in.

This could be useful for suggestions/ideas and bug reports, to bring more attention to the more "popular" issues. Adding likes/dislikes for normal posts can be harmful if you don't have a smart and healthy community, because you'll get people upvoting mindless sensationalist posts and downvoting anyone who actually thinks the issue through. I've been on reddit, trust me.

I remember, that on some old forum there was option under every post called "I ante you beer". Just thumb up. There were no thumbs down. It worked well.

Akinaro:
The same as XDA forum I mentioned. Its thanks/like button, but you know who liked it, so its not anonymous.
