The current idea is to separate user files from installation files (use %appdata% or soldat/config folder).All changes would go into this folder while updates would only patch the soldat folder.
The vote map feature is difficult to use with a lot of maps, one workaround is the /votemap command but that requires you to know the map name as mentioned.I'm open for mockups for the vote map feature.
Would it be impossible to utilize the data that OS's read as "last modified" files to show maps that were most recently installed? This is probably the most common order I can see myself wanting them listed in.
For me as well.Regarding handling 256 maps. What about players who got way more than that? (For example I've got 5474 maps in my maps folder.)
3193 of those maps in my folder have the ctf_ prefix.
