Too much Screen Shake
« on: October 22, 2016, 09:59:59 am »
I just wish I could have an option to disable screen shake effect or just lower the effect or just lower the range where it effects me. It's really annoying when 4 people taking minimi all the time and you're trying to play with barrett in a 7v7 ctf server. Nades exploding off my screen but if I hear it, my screen can shake. I don't even want start talking about minigun. Is there any other way to disable it? maybe through game files but is that okay?

Unless I'm totally mistaken it only affects the sound. If disabled you will not hear explosions from distant battles

I know it wasnt bothering me as well but I recently started playing again and 7v7 ctf servers are most populated and not many players play RS which i used to love :(

Maybe your fps is bothered by having 13 other players on the server. Try playing 3v3.
Have you tried playing 3v3 for example?

It has bothered me a while now. There is not only screen shaking on explosions but every time a gun is fired there is a small shake. I think it was removed when you watch as spectator and when watching demos

I don't think it should be removed completely
We could only have the effect if an explotion happend on your screen and not from a distance, but it sounds difficult to implement.
We could remove screen shake from guns. What do you think?
We could reduce the number of default nades from 3 to 2 to reduce explotions, I have suggested that before without sucess

The shake when you're firing a weapon should stay, but I don't know for the life of me why it shakes other players' screens - that needs to go.
Sorry if I'm insolent.

"We could only have the effect if an explotion happend on your screen and not from a distance, but it sounds difficult to implement." If youre far enough it wont shake your screen so it should not be too difficult.

Loved your suggestions, I hope devs see these.
