#Soldat Gather - Goodbye IRC [now on Discord]

It's time to say goodbye to IRC. From this day on, #Soldat Gather will have a new home on Discord.

XvayS was working on a gatherbot for Discord in the meantime and just finished his great work.

The main reasons why we are migrating to Discord are:


* it's easier for everyone
* it's modern and up to date
* it's more stable
* it has integrated voice chat
* it has logging (no more need for BNC's)
* new players will more likely be willing to join Discord rather than to IRC
How to join?

You can install the Discord application or connect with your browser. (it's recommended to install the app)
Discord does also have a mobile app for most devices.

Channel: #Gather

There are several community channels, where you can talk to people and have fun.
We do also have voice chat channels on our Discord Server (no more need for TeamSpeak or other apps)
There is a gatherbot in the #Gather channel.
Commands are pretty much the same as on IRC. Some features haven't been added yet (stats, etc.)
