Pluto no longer a planet

Ok this is be far the stupidest thing scientists have done.
It seems they voted - and pluto is no longer a planet.
It's now called a 'dwarf'. What is wrong with these people, now every textbook, poster, educational video etc, is incorrect... which is just pissing me off because why do they have to fix something that's not broken?

I heard about this while listening to BBC Radio 1 online. Pretty stupid I think, but I couldn't really care much less.

They never had a definition for what a planet should be. So they finally made one. It would either be pluto being left out or 2 new planets being discovered :X

Otherwise when/if we start colonising planets there will be a confusing anyway.
Besides its only pluto who cares. Wow a dog got named after it (I hope it doesn't count as a full dog now).

Pluto didn't even have a proper orbit, it intersected with neptunes.

I thought they did have a definition of a planet that they revised.  I'm pretty sure the old definition was something like "A body with a certain mass that orbits a star".  I don't know what that certain mass was though.
