testing my sanity
« on: August 27, 2006, 05:31:55 pm »
for a while now, all the ideas in the game improvements section have all been total crap. infact, i have a screenshot of said crap, the entire first page that i saw was totally filled with rediculous/impossible/already discussed topics, i have no problem wiht a few topics where we tell them that there is a search feature, give them a link and move on, but there is nothing even plausable.

And this has what to do with your sanity?
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams it is
still a beautiful world.  Strive to be happy.

link to large pictures rather than include them in your post, the forums resize them so they don't distort the page, thus making them unreadable

flies, in a matter of three clicks or less you could be viewing the full image, but alas ill read off the titles
1.flying stuff hurts you
2.more weps
3.command posts/checkpoints
4.binoculars
5.demo playing
6.auto reload (note: this thread was about getting rid of the auto reload for some reason)
7.Classes
8.players colliding
9.country tags
10.smoke nades!
11.kit parachutes
12.domination mode or smthing
13.automated turret
14.new game mode idea-king of the hill
15.Flashbangs and smoke grenades
16.Mac soldat

there were more on the first page, but i didn't want anymore screenshots. geologist, To quote billy madison "Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul." This is how i feel every time i click the link, because when i see what is on this page, i see people rehashing the same ideas that have been rejected so many times. I think it is proof enough to see smoke grenades in two topics on the same page.

Kit parachutes and Country tags are the only good suggestions on there, so yeah, I see your point. :(

i figured that, and i will be sure to remember it for any other large pictures, i just didn't want to change it for this post.

Now that i think about it, i should have spent a minute on uploading rather than 5 going back and forth between the picture and my post...

frogboy, i have been going less often, but if everyone were to ingnore a problem rather than solve it, WHO KNOWS HOW MANY WARS COULD HAVE BEEN OVOIDED!!! :0:0 :0

your suggestion was a new game mode, king of the hill.

that is a game improvement (maybe?) so it goes in that section.

Apparently, not too long.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

It's been like that for about 3 years. You do occasionally get a good idea or two in there, though. The real problem is the whole POSTCOUNT+++!!! thing going on.

The big problem is people just arguing the threads to death, or some guys making crappy idea threads just for the sake of making them.

Actually some of the ideas are pretty damn good and relatively easy to make, but I guess Michal just doesn't look there much.

That, or he can't integrate them all.  Remember, coding isn't exactly a cake walk.
