Suggestion: [New Sever Feature] - VIP IP.
Actually people who has remote admin (IP address stored in server remote.txt file) can join server even if it`s full. It`s of course really good and necessary feature. But what if you want to give somebody possibility to join your server (even if it`s full) without giving him admin privileges? If server can use vip_ip.txt file with (manually added) IP addresses (like in remote.txt) to allow join to your server VIP people (even server is full), without giving them admin privileges, it would be very nice and usefull. You could add your friends IP addresses to this file and allow them join your server when they want (whitout giving them admin privileges).

i want this...if mm used some oop it would be simple to code in, plus if it used unnesccery bandwidth couldnt the sever admin just disable it? i think we need enesce to post here.

It`s few (about 1 or 2) lines of code in Delphi... (and OOP is no necessary here...)

If you won`t need it, you will simple don`t use it... Same like with remote admin... It`s just an option, for people who can use (brain) and games buildin features to make gaming more flexible.

Please read carefully again and try understand what you are reading :-). We`re writing about remote admins... Remote admins (whose IP adressess are stored in remote.txt server file) of course can join even server is full.

Yes this is completely possible, in 1 line of code to be exact. if (StringInList(PlayerIP,VIPList) then State := OK;


In a near future release, you will be able to do this with "Scripts"

it wouldn't unbalance teams, it wouldn't be hard to code (see enesce's post) and it wouldn't use any extra bandwidth.... if the owner of the server thought any of these things would happen, or would happen to an extent that would bother them, then they could just not use it.

The fact is that the feature is very useful and that it is easy to do or script.  There is no reason not for it to be added just because a few people feel it may be a waste.

Sounds sweet to me. If only a couple of VIPs at a time could join it would'nt unbalance teams too much.
