Avis' Western Feeling Mod (1.2)

Hey, i created a mod and thought it would be useful to post it into the official forum.



Well it's a big difference between my mod and Soldat, concerning the weapons.

First of all, all shots fly straight and extreme fast.

There are 3 different bows, replacing the MP5, AUG and the AK.
The Short Bow fires fast but it doesn't fly so far.
The Composite Bow has a lower firerate than the Short Bow, but it's stronger and the arrows fly farther.
The Long Bow is the strongest bow of them, it mostly insta-kills and has a long range but a real slow fire rate.

Then, there are the revolvers.
The "MiniColt .357" is a secondary weapon, but it's also available
as a primary weapon, a pair of MiniColts!
Then we have the .44 Magnum Colt. It's more powerful and it can hold more bullets.
The last revolver is the .55 Fragnum Colt. As the name insists, it's a colt with a real big calibre which results in a lot of firepower, which can kill a player instantly if the shot hits the head.

Then the mod contains two rifles.
The Merington 12 doublebarreled shotgun, which can kill your opponent fast, real fast.
And then there is the probably deadliest weapon ever created:
The .780 Ownchester lever rifle. One shot can easily penetrate 4 enemies behind each other, and every one of them will die, guaranteed.

The M79 has been removed, forever, i hate the M79  ;).
I added a 5pack of throwing knives. They're bit weaker then the normal throwing knife, but you have much more.

The minigun is replaced with an exotic weapon, an automatic crossbow, you probably know from the movie "Van Helsing".
It contains 41 arrows and can be a deadly weapon, if used smart:
Shoot 4arrow burst, then your accuracy will be ideal.

The grenade is horribly strong, it's splash damage is extreme powerful and finally the grenade can be extremely dangerous for more then one enemy.



I know, this mod is really different, but try it, it'll be hopefully fun.

Hmm looks ok, i never think a western theme suits soldat though.

i wanted to make something innovative not another 08/15-ModernWarfare/SpecialOps-etc-mod, because that has been made to death...

it seems ok.
but you should make some gostek to, thats better for the feeling ;)
it makes it more western.
weapons are ok, not extremely good, but they are ok.

i think it can be fun with those options you made, but im not gonna download it because you cant play online.

all in, its not bad.

The two pistols look a little fat. Extend their barrels, or thin their handles and/or the middle sections.

THe guns look good, but I do not like the weapons mod .ini file, it makes the weapons way to fast and powerful.

I definetely won't make the bullets fly like airsoft plastic bullets, like in normal Soldat.  ;)

It's just a bit different, if you don't like it, it's ok, because you don't have to like everything, right?  :)

I will make some gosteks, i thought about it already.
But i won't do it in the next 3 weeks, so don't expect changes.

Yeah dont make the weapons too fast. seeing as it is western and you are using bows.
What you said about being constructive, you are right. "normal" weapon mods are very common and new/original ideas are always welcome.

Oh my god.
This has been so long now.

I have a big problem, my harddisk got f***ed up and besides of that, this mod is gone.
If anyone has the files and gave it to me, I'd be so thankful!  :-X
