I still have a hard time believing it actually happened. Especially given that he's been in the news a lot recently for a lot of silly stuff like dangling children in front of gators.

I wouldn't have been as shocked if it were something more common, like a heart attack (well, it was cardiac arrest..), but it is something that I don't think anybody could have logically fathomed. It is surprising to me in the way that I'd be surprised if an A-lister had died trying to perform a stunt for a movie, etc. and so on.

It's even more depressing when you realize that his face was recognizable world-wide, as a gateway to Australia (whether people like it or not) for foreign children and fanatics alike. Seriously, who is John Howard?

Its only fittin that his last words should have been crikey.

Oh his show realy wasnt that good. It was for kids and even in Croatia that show was kinda watched , especially because of his sillynes. He was a true adventurer and I respect that , even though I loved his show. The world will never be the same without him. People will always remember him for something. Was it his adventurous spirit , his whacky appearance or his silly show(no offense intended). I thought he will never die ( like G.W friggin motherfucker Bush Jr.(?) )

I feel sorry for the guy. I mean, think about it. After all of the horribly dangerous things he's dealt with, a goddamn stingray does him in. Hell, just 3 weeks ago, I was swimming with a bunch of stingrays. The things act like little puppies.

RANDOM FACT: Stingrays do not actually know that they have a stinger. The act of flipping their tail upwards over their body is just a defensive reflex.
