What now? Include more detail please, because I have no clue what you're trying to say, if anything at all.

When you aim up with the saw or any other weapon, the weapon points the direction you aim.  the knife doesn't.

Ah, thanks. Makes sense now. :) Well, I'd be against it since it's one of the things which separates the saw from the knife, but if it's true that saw throwing will be available in this new version, then it seems right to do it to make the knife useful apart from the saw. Then again, guess no one really knows for sure until the new version is released. Still don't like the thought of it myself though. :(

Actually, I kind of like how the knife keeps at a forward ready position.

I think it would make the knife more useful as a melee weapon as well as a projectile. I'd love to be able to stab people above me.

That would be brilliant. This would also extend the Knife's reach and make it much more useful as a melee weapon (it wouldn't be the exact same as the Chainsaw since the 'saw has a small chance of not killing in a run, whereas the Knife's proportionally super-high Damage value would instantly kill if the stab was perfect & clean).

Support! :)

Good idea. Casual players who normally use the Socom for close-range combat might actually use the knife if this was changed.

I have never quite gotten why you can't do this with the knife already... you can throw it in any direction you want, and often I will throw the knife instead of stabbing with it for this reason, even though I have to pick the knife back up.

Okay, you guys have changed my mind.  It would be great if you could stab in any direction.  So yes, please include.

uhm havent anybody noticed...
the knife is really only "fists" that does more damage...
it has the same bug:
go prone, and punch.
while doing that, try to unprone. wont work... knife also has this bug
has cost me a lot of soldats..
implementing this will mean that youd be able to uppercut!!

As a prominent chainsaw user, why make the knife even more powerful? If you want that extra flexibility, throw away the knife or use the chainsaw! ;_;
