that hitboxes thing for CS:S is used for lag compensation and works pretty well.  In online play, it will almost never be noticable and in fact does improve gameplay. 

also, it isn't the only game to do this.

Yeah I feel like trading in DoD:S because when I'm done playing i'm always frustrated.

I can't land right. Hell, I gave up on landing properly in any game. In SA, I just stall and jump out with a parachute, in flight sims I do a barrel roll 2 metres above the ground.

I'm not so great at fighting games. I've actually been playing the original SNES Street Fighter 2 as of late, and even at an average difficulty, it's pretty rough on me. :P
