Hey, longest running version?
« on: September 14, 2006, 10:11:03 am »
I took a good 2 month break or so was suprised to come back to the same version. Is this version the longest running version in Soldat history? Seems like this version has been around quite awhile. Anyway, just saying hello. Its good to take a break for awhile and come back game was burning me out  :D

Hmmm ...lets have a look at the manuals history....

1.3.1 was born exactly 1 year and 2 days ago. 1.2 and 1.2.1 score 10 months each....  so yeah. This is the longest running version of Soldat.

Sign of the times i'm afraid ...Michal's getting old and moving on. But then again this version has recieved the least amount of complaints...which, as he stated during an interview, criticism drives him onwards.

The show is far, far from over though. He ain't quitting yet.

Well, it figures that 1.3.1 has been in the running for the longest.  It works like a charm, and not many people have complaints.  Still, updating it could take consideration from a lot of factors that could be added.  Plenty of people have good ideas.  MM might need time to sort through them.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

Indeed it feels like it's been a year, but I just read the old beta forums and all threads concerning the upcomming 1.3.1 release were from december 2005. oO

Hm.  Weird.  Well, I'm going with what Chakra said.

Bad idea Orion ...my mistake, read the dates wrong. It was release 9/12/05 ...I thought 9 was the month ¬_¬

From the manual...

1.3.1 (09.12.2005)
1.3 (05.08.2005)
1.2.1 (26.10.2004)
1.2.0 (21.01.2004)

...does feel like a year though, doesn't it ?

....ah, my bad. :P  Still, I wouldn't be able to say.  I've only been in the biz since May. :-\  Even so, seems like it's been a while...

Welcome back GO.  It's nice to see you back around here agin.  But here in about 30 days it'll be just in running to be the longest running version.  And nobody has heard any updates from a type of new release, so this version seems to be the one that will run the longest (for now).

Have you been paying any attention?  forums.soldat.pl has been spammed, flamed, etc. loads of times.  it's just that we have excellent mods to deal with it.  Take the el_bobo incident.

Its ok stick, some people around here feel like they are better then others
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

Mostly what i thougt was that there was always weapon imbalace and that was what ppl complained about the most. Now that the latest version has it, there is no need for an update as fast or at all as the game is good cept some minor bugs/glitches,

OBEY!!!
