Night Train - Guns 'n Roses

Loaded like a freight train
Flyin' like an aeroplane
Feelin' like a space brain
One more time tonight

Well I'm a west coast struttin'
One bad mother
Got a rattlesnake suitcase
Under my arm
Said I'm a mean machine
Been drinkin' gasoline
And honey you can make my motor hum
Well I got one chance left
In a nine live cat
I got a dog eat dog sly smile
I got a Molotov cocktail with a match to go
I smoke my cigarette with style
An I can tell you honey
You can make my money tonight

Wake up late honey put on your clothes
Take your credit card to the liquor store
That's one for you and two for me by tonight
I'll be loaded like a freight train
Flyin' like an aeroplane
Feelin' like a space brain
One more time tonight

I'm on the nightrain
Bottoms up
I'm on the nightrain
Fill my cup
I'm on the nightrain
Ready to crash and burn
I never learn
I'm on the nightrain
I love that stuff
I'm on the nightrain
I can never get enough
I'm on the nightrain
Never to return - no

Loaded like a freight train
Flyin' like an aeroplane
Speedin' like a space brain
One more time tonight

I'm on the nightrain
And I'm lookin' for some
I'm on the nightrain
So's I can leave this slum
I'm on the nightrain
And I'm ready to crash an' burn
Nightrain
Bottoms up
I'm on the nightrain
Fill my cup
I'm on the nightrain

Whoa yeah
I'm on the nightrain
Love that stuff
I'm on the nightrain
An I can never get enough
Ridin' the nightrain
I guess I
I guess, I guess, I guess I never learn

On the nightrain
Float me home
Ooh I'm on the nightrain
Ridin' the nightrain
Never to return
Nightrain

Better Than You - Metallica

I look at you, then you me
Hungry and thirsty are we
Holding the lions share
Holding the key
Holding me back cause Im striving to be....

Better than you
Better than you

Lock horns I push, and I strive
Somehow I feel more alive
Bury the need for it
Bury the seed
Bury me deep when theres no will to be

Better than you
Better than you

Oh, cant stop this train from rolling
No, nothing brings me down
No, cant stop this train from rolling, on and on and on
On, forever on and on...

Oh, cant stop this train from rolling
Oh, you cant take it down
No, cant stop this locomotion, on and on and on
No, you cant bring it down cause im

Better than you
Better than you
Oh better than you
Better than you
Much better than you

Better than you
Oh better than you
Better than you
Better than
Better than
Better than
Better than you

Cant stop this train from rolling

Forever and on and on and on
Forever and on and on and on

Better than you
Better than you

Shit Towne - Live
(sorry for avoiding the swear filter, but the song is Sh*t Towne)

The weavers live up the street from me
The crackheads, they live down the street from me
The tall grass makes it hard to see
Beyond my property

Hey man, this is criminal,
This hard line symmetry of people and pets

We dont bother anyone
We keep to ourselves
The mailman visits each of us in turn
We dont bother anyone
We keep to ourselves
The mailman visits each of us in time

Gotta live, gotta live, gotta live
In shit towne
Gotta live, gotta live, gotta live
In our town.

Bark at the Moon - Ozzy Osbourne

Screams break the silence
Waking from the dead of night
Vengence is boiling
Hes returned to kill the light
Then when hes found who hes looking for
Listen in awe and youll hear him

Bark at the moon

Years spent in torment
Buried in a nameless grave
Now he has risen
Miracles would have to save
Those that this beast is looking for
Listen in awe and youll hear him

Bark at the moon

They cursed and buried him
Along with shame
And thought his timeless soul had gone
In empty burning hell--unholy one
But now hes returned to prove them wrong (oh no)

Howling in shadows
Living in a lunar spell
He finds his heaven
Spewing from the mouth of hell

And when he finds who hes looking for
Listen in awe and youll hear him
Bark at the moon.
There are other worlds than these

Actually, these are probably my favourite lyrics. I was joking about the Gorgoroth song.

IIRC there was a story behind this song. Something about a drunk father that ran over his daughter or something and used to rape/molest her. I can't seem to find the website again.

Band: The Misfits

Song: Theme for a Jackal

Dry drunk on a corner
Wet waste of a girl
Theme for a jackal

Play you a death-song
You probably listen
Stand idly by as they rape your children
Like you do now
In fact you showed them how

All thoughts are in place
All deeds are complete
Play, theme for a jackal play

Die sweet prince
Meat tastes like mince
The jackal's eaten enough for today

Die sweet prince
Meat tastes like shit
Enough to make that jackal spit

Spit jackal spit

Spit and choke on the lives you've taken
You can't shake them loose

All morsels are gone, they're too small
Accessible from a source so tall
Little sister all of my love

Bitch
Bitch, she is
Cut her from the inside out

Dead daughter in the river
Entrance gained by her liver
Play, theme for a jackal play

They play you a death-song
You probably listen
Stand idly by as they rape your children
Like you do now
In fact you showed them how
Play, theme for a jackal play
Play, theme for a jackal play

Anyway,
Band: MUSE

Song: House of the rising sun(Cover)

Lyrics,
There is a house in New Orleans,
They call the Rising sun.
Well it's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
And God I know I'm one.

Oh MOTHER, tell your children,
Not to do what I have done.
You spend your lives in sin and misery
In the house of the Rising Sun.

Well there is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising sun.
And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy,
And God I know I'm one.

Reason: Well, it's quite short(3:01), but it has a sweet tune to it. I just love it. It's quite an instrumental track, and he sings it quite slowly. I guess it isn't all that short after all.. Anyway, check it out, you'll love it.
I fucking miss all you cunts!

Holy moly, I love blindspott, been listening to 'em for years!

My favourite [2] are:
Band:
Sublime

Song:
No Woman, No Cry (Bob Marley remake)

Lyrics:
No woman, no cry,
No woman, no cry.

Yea...
Say, remember all the things about back when we used to sit,
And talk about all the girls that we had in the basement down at my house
Grandma upstairs but you know we didnt ever care.
Over over serving the hits that we would play.
Lets become big is what what we would pray,
And they would mingle with the good songs that we made,
Write enough of them and well market just got to pay.

And good friends we had (Yeah...!) and good friends we lost (Yeah...!)
And they were young across so now the pain will last all day,
But thats allright 'cause listen up, and now I'm gonna say
In this bright future you can't forget your past 'cause it wont last, yeah!
So dry your tears and now I say to all the men that had to lead the way...

No woman, no cry,
No woman, no cry.
No woman, no cry,
No woman, no cry.
Yeah...

Hold up, hold up.
Say now remember when we used to rock, and better be jumpin and pickin away the 'tar.
In the basement down at my house gotta make a play to keep on top a list of who got laid.
And then k1 would strive to make the band alive,
And he could do it to.
Jumpin to rock the mic so we could burn on through the night,
Comin' up on the one now get a sit to get the job done.
And then we would look who took the fighter with the courageous left hook.
I'm caught upon a fret so we can get our due,
Me and the kid will be layin the fattest tracks that you ever knew.
Up up up up and away my super dreams of the wind are sellin out today.
And I dont give a damn about the music biz,
I'm just writin my songs and what im tellin you is...

Everythings gonna be alright,
And everythings gonna be alright.
Marijuanas in the house tonight
And everythings gonna be alright.
Everythings gonna be alright now,
And everythings gonna be alright.
We come alive in the house tonight,
and everythings gonna be alright.

No woman, no cry,
No woman, no cry.
No woman, no cry,
No woman, no cry.
No woman, no cry.

Lemme say about that baby.
If you got no woman then you've got no brothers,
And my heart is gonna tell me to wave byebye,
And if I never had wanted a woman I wouldn't be havin' one with me.
If I had it again I would tell you what I please,
And I take 'em round and I take 'em down.
Now I'm thinkin of gettin' possession we got now the morn
And I got the ones that don't love me.
I wanted a woman with me,
But you dont care 'cause we are free, yeah!

No woman, no cry,
No woman, no cry.
No woman, no cry,
No woman, no cry.
Yeah...!

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

And my all time favourite...

Band:
Pink Floyd

Song:
Wish You Were Here

Lyrics:
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange
a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl,
year after year,
running over the same old ground. What have we found?
The same old fears,
wish you were here.

William Shatner
Common People
(featuring: Joe Jackson)

She came from Greece. She had a thirst for knowledge.
She studied sculpture at Saint Martin's College.
That's where I--caught her eye.
She told me that her dad was loaded.
I said, in that case I'll have a rum and Coca-Cola.
She said fine, and in thirty seconds time she said...
I wanna live like common people.
I wanna do whatever common people do.
I wanna sleep with common people.
I wanna sleep with common people like you.
Well, what else could I do? I said, I'll see what I can do!

I took her to a supermarket.
I don't know why, but I had to start it somewhere.
So it started there!
I said, pretend you've got no money.
She just laughed and said, oh, you're so funny!
I said, yeah? Well I can't see anyone else smiling in here!
Are you sure you want to live like common people?
You want to see whatever common people see?
You want to sleep with common people?
You want to sleep with common people like me?
But she didn't understand...

...she just smiled and held my hands!
Rent a flat above a shop!
Cut your hair and get a job!
Smoke some fags and play some pool.
Pretend you never went to school.
But still you'll never get it right.
When you're lyin' in bed at night,
Watching roaches climb the wall.
If you call your dad he could stop it all.

You'll never live like common people!
You'll never do whatever common people do!
You'll never fail like common people!
You'll never watch your life slide out of view,
and dance, and drink, and screw!
Because there's nothing else to do!

Cheers, Tool fans.

Parabol- Tool

So familiar and overwhelmingly warm
This one, this form I hold now.
Embracing you, this reality here,
This one, this form I hold now, so
Wide eyed and hopeful.
Wide eyed and hopefully wild.

We barely remember what came before this precious moment,
Choosing to be here right now. Hold on, stay inside...
This body holding me, reminding me that I am not alone in
This body makes me feel eternal. All this pain is an illusion.
BRIX SHAT.

Metallica - Disposal Heroes

Disposabel Heroes

Bodies fill the fields I see, hungry heroes end
No one to play soldier now, no one to pretend
running blind through killing fields, bred to kill them all
Victim of what said should be
a servant `til I fall

[Chorus:]
Soldier boy, made of clay
now an empty shell
twenty one, only son
but he served us well
Bred to kill, not to care
just do as we say
finished here, Greeting Death
he's yours to take away

Back to the front
you will do what I say, when I say
Back to the front
you will die when I say, you must die
Back to the front
you coward
you servant
you blindman
[End Chorus]

Barking of machinegun fire, does nothing to me now
sounding of the clock that ticks, get used to it somehow
More a man, more stripes you bare, glory seeker trends
bodies fill the fields I see
the slaughter never ends

[Chorus]

Why, Am I dying?
Kill, have no fear
Lie, live off lying
Hell, Hell is here

I was born for dying

Life planned out before my birth, nothing could I say
had no chance to see myself, moulded day by day
Looking back I realize, nothing have I done
left to die with only friend
Alone I clench my gun

[Chorus]

Back to the front.

Artist: Avenged Sevenfold
Song: Chapter Four

(Give me your hand,
blood is spilt and man will follow
infernal man, punishment too great to bear)
Conceived and born was one of light
Rain and dark, the other born black night

Raise your head and taste the courage
(the one of light)
Fall from grace, unholy night

I've come here to kill you,
won't leave until you've died
Murder born of vengeance,
I closed my brothers eyes tonight...

[Repeat from the beginning]

It's cold tonight as the clouds turn grey
and from my hands to my brothers grave
You took his side, you took his gift,
feel the power of a fallen man,
crestfallen man...

Far away in this land I must go,
out of the site of the One.
A punishment sent from his hand
a hardship that no one should know
Now go out of the site of the One,
away in this land you must go.

Where has he gone? What have you done?
A voice commands from high above this earth.
From the soil his blood cries out to me
Murder, liar, vengeance, deceit.

Far away in this land I must go,
out of the site of the One.
A punishment sent from his hand
a hardship that no one should know
Now go out of the site of the One,
away in this land you must go.
[Fade out]

Another great song is "Whiskey In The Jar", not the cheesy claim to fame of Metallica, but the original, by Thin Lizzy. =]

Song title: Steppin' out

Lyrics
Now -
The mist across the window hides the lines
But nothing hides the colour of the lights that shine
Electricity so fine
Look and dry your eyes

We -
So tired of all the darkness in our lives
With no more angry words to say
Can come alive
Get into a car and drive
To the other side

Me babe - steppin out
Into the night
Into the light
You babe - steppin out
Into the night
Into the light

We -
Are young but getting old before our time
Well leave the t.v. and the radio behind
Dont you wonder what well find
Steppin out tonight

You -
Can dress in pink and blue just like a child
And in a yellow taxi turn to me and smile
Well be there in just a while
If you follow me

Me babe - steppin out
Into the night
Into the light
You babe - steppin out
Into the night
Into the light
-------------------------
Joe Jacksons great. Then again I can listen to anything from the 80's and say it's great.
