A time to breath
« on: September 17, 2006, 08:52:55 pm »
I haven't been playing soldat for a bit so I decided I have a go at it once more. I was very happy when I joined the server: M79ers have been reduced to one or two. Most people were using Autos and rugers. I dont know if its just me, but soldat is becoming a much better game....

I used to think that too, but this server only had about 3 at most. Most of the people were using Minimis, MP5s, or Rugers.

85.25.10.53

Default port.

I dont know if any new M79ers came in after I left, but that was the server.

I don't quite think you can safely say that Soldat is improving after joining a single server with relatively few M79ers.

M79 is just as used as it was, we've just gotten used to it and it's nothing remarkable now. We all said "OMGZ STOP USING M79" when it became overused.

People couldn't whine about the barret so they started whining about the m79. Thats all that happened.

the only time m79ers really annoying is when they suicide, besides that its not to hard to avoid m79 bullets, there slow and have a big arc, good dodge practise :)
back on topic anyway, in australia anyway, i seriously have hardly ever seen an m79er win a match, so for all us auto'ers stop complaining! :D
ps, i have been awake for 45+ hours thus if opinions change its cuase i suck and my sleep depraved opinions are worthless after all

I don't know about the normal comunity, but on the realistic side, the total overuse of m79 has actually changed into a more moderate one. And most of those who uses it are pretty bad with it anyway, so it's easy to dodge their shells.

You should all play realistic..

ive actually considered that, i need to start. Any good servers to suggest? (i've played realistic probably twice....literally)
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

It's nice to take a break from things every so often.  I have times where I put down Soldat or other games and come back to them days or weeks later, try switching off to different modes of play, etc.

Glad to hear you're pleased with what you see :D
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams it is
still a beautiful world.  Strive to be happy.

Yeah I love taking breaks from games, cause the game is just that much better when you return to it.

I haven't played Soldat online in months.  If what I hear is true, n00bism is down bigtime.  Hopefully it will stay that way when I do go back on.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

I noticed less  m79 since I came back.

Then again I have only been in u13 CTF and u13 DM. Hail u13!

Geez I just started playing after 2 months of not playing....I only played once because my dad locked me out of my good computer :/

There's like 55 million noobs, who just run into your bullets. This is like the only game where I can get in 1st place without trying,

I don't see the problem with the m79 personally.  It's about the funnest gun to use in the game. I guess most people aren't playing for fun though.
