 How do i make a poly that dosnt collide but does hurt? i cant find anything that says how

also while im at it, how do i set a back ground inside of another area

As far as I know there is no poly that doesn't collide but doesn't hurt.

As for your second question, you can use sceneries (like a texture), change the color a bit so it stands out from the polys, and then set it to "back" with a little transparency.

If you're trying to force players to go through something like a radioactive passage, you could try making a thin tunnel that forces them to be touching hurtful ground or ceiling all the way through... but that's all that comes to mind

Notice that some maps that have barbed wire or water only hurt you when you're in contact with the respective poly, not the scenery.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.
