I searched for a thread like this, and, surprisingly enough, I received no results. :/ I decided not to put a poll because people may have more than one favorite weapon.

A simple question: What's your favorite weapon/the weapon you use the most? I use the MP5 the most, because of it's high rate of fire and fast reload time. I occassionaly use the AK-47 or the Steyr AUG, but my favorite will always be the MP5. 1 or 2 people have accused me of being a sprayer, but I don't think I do.

Ruger/knife for lots of people matches, Spas/socom for small maps, and Steyr/Knife for Everthing else.

Haha, man, I have used the ruger for 3 bloody years and I don't think I plan on stopping any time soon.

I usually go for stretches of months without actually touching another weapon.

Yargh! The only weapon worth using is USSOCOM! It's high damage and good rate of fire (if you click fast - it shoots fast

) make it an excellent weapon against sprayers, campers, etc. It's quite often for me to use it as a primary

I've been trying that out myself for the past few days and kinda like it. It'd probably work better if stupid me could remember to either not throw my M79 launcher at the enemy or fire with the knife thinking I'm using the Socom.

I think M79/Socom will probably always be my favorite and using the M79/Knife for close quarters maps. Right now it's difficult to chase down enemies with the knife, and that hurts it for me.

I just started exerimenting with the Minimi in a couple of games, and I've gotten quite efficient with it. It's my other favorite weapon. ^_^

There's alot of weapons I like, but the ones that stick out the the most are the Deagles, AK, and the Knife.

Almost always Steyr Aug/Knife. I used to use just mp5. Then my eyes were opened; Steyr Aug is almost as fast but far more accurate and far-ranged! Knife is backup, just in case I screw up. It's also just fun. Sometimes I use ruger or barret. I never use m79, cause that's just freakin annoying. M79 should have a delay. I changed the name of it in the weaponnames.txt file to Noob Tube.

i appreciate every weapon, except for the super lame m79. i use deagles in medium maps, autos pretty much everywhere (favorite AK74, then AUG, then MP5, but depends on map still), then i always use my ruger. thats my fave. next is barret.

The only reason ppl hate the m79 is that when you start it has to load first, wich can lead to frustrating moment, but other than that i love the m79, it has aone shot kill(most of the time) and it makes a handy weapon for the campers, my second fav would be the Spas, its fast and 3 hit kill, plus when you run out of ammo you dont have to wait to reload all, you can just go ahead and shoot.

In older versions I used Barret, but now i usually play with m79. And as second weapon I always use knife. Frankly speaking now I use only knifes because I play dodgeball only

Boy howdy, I would HATE playing you.

I can't help but get irritated with people who lean on the one-hit-killers, especially being primarily an automatics user myself.

Edit: Oh yeah, if I'm using a minigun, M79 or Barrett, I'll usually pack a Socom.

It's a fact, Deagles are the better weapon. I went through the same switch as you, but I still use HK from time to time for the fun of it.

Steyr Aug - Long range, fast rate of fire, powerful, fast reload.
Ruger - Two hit kill, fast reload, looks professional ;].
Ak47 - Big clip, long range, powerful.
Law - Powerful, bounces towards enemy in comical fashion.

And those are my weapons of choice.

I used law as my Deagles back-up, but it seems to me giving up my long range shot law is worth the socom to clean up kills and get you out of tight reload situations

I mostly start with mp5 and saw, but it always changes as the game goes on.

One more point that I probably should've grouped into one post with all my others dispersed over the thread, but what weapons I'll use also varies on what mod I'm using. Part of the reason I rarely use the Steyr is because I just don't like the way it looks or sounds, but that changes if I'm using a mod that turns it into something cool. Same with just about any weapon, and can go both ways.

I just learned how to use the MP5 today..took me like 3 hours but I can actually shoot the dang thing at somebody now...
