What program?
« on: June 14, 2006, 02:35:02 am »
Hey, i want to start making my own userbars, and avvy's (or at least try :D) but i dont know what a good program is for creating these. Are there any good ones i should look for? any good free ones? and if so can i get a linky or two? Thanks guys! :P
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

a free and very powerful alternative to photoshop is The Gimp

I suspect there is some other way that people are making these, I'll let them tell you the secrets of it... because I've got no idea about userbars

I use the industry leading software. I wouldn't have a job without it :)

Paint for the win. Well, for comics and simple drawings and such. It's best to use Gimp or Photoshop for userbarsa and other stuff that's more...graphical.

my question is this: am i gonna have to have some background knowledge in order to use gimp? i have never used anything more sophisticated the MS Paint. Is gimp gonna be too confusing, or will i catch on easily?
