Awards

Much like Goldeneye 64, the final score menu at the end of a round will display awards.
ie. Most trigger happy, most deadly, who capped the most, most aggressive, where's the armor?, etc.

Not really needed, I thought it would just add a bit of novelty.

well, not needed, but just a nice add-on ;D
would be fun at all, and also they should add "Kills", 'cause when i check stats the flag-points is added with the kills...

Hey, I love Goldeneye for the nintendo! I'm for it :)

No really, I think it's a really good idea. It could show the users favorite weapon for that match, and how well(in %) his accuracy was 'n stuff. I support it.

Yeah, but too many awards would clog up the f1 menu.. but if just a couple of random awards were to appear each round, it would just be good for a laugh.

hmm.. good point. How about if it was only shown for the top 3 players or something? That, and every player could see the stats for his own gameplay?

not necessarily the top 3 as people who suck will feel left out... but 3 chosen at random each round would work.
but yeah, seeing your own stats at the end (not awards, but like shots, accuracy, etc) would be pretty wicked :D

Maybe only show your own? becuase it would suck if you wanted to know if you got an award and you couldn't show anyone it becuase there was no opportunity for a screenshot of it.

Hmm... I'm not much for the random picking thing. Suppose the guy who's been afk for the last five minutes, the guy who just joined 10 seconds before mapchange and the lame ass speedhacker are the three chosen ones? that'd be annoying.

How about this.. Anyone noticed how when you sweep your xhair across the sniper in the weapon menu, this text giving a little info comes up. Maybe you could sweep your crosshair across a name in the F1 menu, and a little sidewindow showing the stats would appear? I don't know if it'd be hard to impliment, but it sure would be great.

EDIT: This would also solve the problem of score vs. kill points recieved, and it could show all kinds of great things. As Ben's said above, not too much, but just a few details.
Kills, deaths, ping and name would still be shown in the actual F1 menu, but K/D ratio, caps, accuracy per %, favorite 'victim' and favorite gun. hell, maybe even what country you're from. Perhaps a single line could be left for the soldats random disposal, in case he wanted to write his clanname there or something. I think this idea holds great potential.

That's what I meant. I suppose I wasn't clear enough as the final score menu is the f1 menu.

Nice idea.
Would be better if the awards are visible when, at the end of the match, you click someone's name. Then the awards drop down, and it's better and more comfortable (plus doesn't collapse the F1 menu).
That is easy to code since it's similar to the Vote menus.

Really, nice idea, matches with the whole Soldat black humour thingy (have you seen the Manual? Buffer Backcount - change if really bored LOL!!).

Hope it's implemented in next version!

MM, im looking at yoooouuuuuuuuu...

Seems like a nice idea, but the end of the stage status screen is only up for a couple of seconds at best before going to the next map. To delay the game's progress just to splatter some awards on screen wouldn't be a good idea or fun in my opinion. It'd stall the game too much. Plus, you'd have people playing the game with a certain trophy in mind instead of actually playing correctly and assisting their team regardless if it were to bring down their rank somehow.

Yeah, that could be a problem.

I KNOW! A server option to disable this, and BTW make the status menu stay more time.
And it shouldn't affect to any kind of ranks. Just for help people know what they're facing.

But that's why not everyone willg et an award... pretty much when the match ends and the scores are displayed, 2-3 random novelty awards are at the bottom of the screen. These awards don't have to praise anything in particular. Like 3 awards that could appear are "most constant flag returner", "least encountered" and "darminism award". Plus if the variety of awards is big (and obscure) enough, players won't aim for a certain awards. If you have decent reading skills, you'll easily be able to read through the players, find your score and then check the awards.

You know... If we're in need for space, we could just have a separate tab for extended info... Maybe F12 or whichever button has no function

But as Mr Domino said, there isn't exactly alot of score viewing time...
