It isn't that simple MMD, they didn't do a severe enough wrong that they needed to be punished and things worked out.  You can't just look at everything in black and white, it is all a shade of gray.

And what would you do Dan?  Go back and shaft Mar77a, Enesce, and Red Guy so long after the fact, just because there was finally a public outcry about it? 

The decision was made that as long as people pledged to change their ways then, in my way of putting it, no harm no foul.  While I don't necessarily agree with some of the things they did, if they can put it behind them I see no reason to keep on punishing them for it now.  I don't find it fair to forgive someone and then condemn them a few weeks down the road just because other people aren't happy about it.  It's not just, and it reminds me of the term "Indian giver", in which something is given away and them promptly taken back when someone changes their mind.

Is it really that hard to just forgive and forget?  Have these people done anything wrong or harmfull since then?  Not in my opinion, so why break the whip out after it's already said and done?

The only reason it's being condemned weeks away is because this is the first chance anyone has had to mention it... I've wanted to post for a while but I assumed Bricks would do something about as he had said before. But it seems that hesitation rule works for banning people too, and the more he thought about it the more hesitant he became to do something like that. I guess Brick failed to see that what Enesce had done, Enesce would have thought about. Crash servers on purpose which Brick would get annoyed about? Or tell him about the bug. The latter would be what a sensible person would do. The first being what he DID do, and probably would have done a lot more if he hadn't been caught...

Someone needs to fucking apologise to Stalky. It probably won't bring him back but at least part of a wrong doing will be somewhat righted...

Hacking is a horrible offense, but EnEsCe gave that up and we gave him a bunch of time to cool off before we allowed him back.  Hacking has nothing to do with what he did to my servers.

In all fairness, Flies asked us to explain our gripes and Dan is doing just that.  He has a valid point, by the way.  Perhaps the best course of action, Flies, would have been to cater to both you and the forumers who would obviously feel that  letting someone off punishment-free is unfair -- let the people who mess up back into the forums as many times as you feel is appropriate, but at least give them a temporary ban equivalent to sitting in the corner for an hour.  You get your way, the forumers get retribution, the immature get punished, and we still have our sense of forgiveness.
