Anything. It depends on the map and the scenery, plus how close and where you are compared tyo your opponent. Remember to stay above your opponent at all times, and be sure to use 'quick killer' weapons in narrow quarters.

In fact, that's the basic counter strategy for most attacks.
I fucking miss all you cunts!

I'd say Minimi, AK, and Barret from a distance -- HK, M79, and Spas if you can close in. Binking a Ruger hurts its aim a good bit, but a good user should only need two shots to do you in. Work on being evasive. The boost given with the Spas and M79 helps for that -- I think the Spas makes a great anti-Ruger/Barret weapon for that reason, since you can use it to mess around with your own positioning to avoid fire and still have shots to bink and push your target around, too. You just have to learn to get in range, but it's not terribly difficult.

Really the strategy is.... get better at the game. Suprize! When you get better you will just learn how to act when facing a ruger or auto with whatever gun you use.

That's a pretty strange question.. Coz except if you're in a 1v1 (or 2v2) it's very probable that the person using e.g. the Ruger is already dead when you respawned and took another weapon. That person could've also already taken an other weapon, so just get better at the game, get a favo gun, and learn to get in range when you're up against a highly accurate weapon with long range.

I use ruger a lot and the spaz is probably the best against the it at close range. be careful cause a good ruger user can take you out fast. the best time to attack is when they reload.

Nothing more annoying for a rugertard than an auto user with a good aim. Spraying mindlessly won't work unless you spook him - and otherwise can sometimes lead him to your position off-screen for a ready aim - but an autoer who can aim good puts a lot of pressure on a ruger user.  Make every hit count so he can't.

If you're playing in realistic mode, it doesn't really matter what weapon you have, you can just sneak RIGHT up behind them and pop a round into them. This is where you need a good instant-kill weapon (a Deagle (Desert Eagle) is a good idea in this case).

If you can't, well... If you can work out how to use the grenade well enough then you can get them without touching you.
I believe that you should take their advice and use an auto. I personally prefer the Minimi, or the MP5 if you need to reload quickly (the Minimi is hopeless if you need to reload quickly but does quite a lot of damage for an auto :P ).

Well, I haven't been playing for very long but I HAVE done a lot of CS and Delta Force (which would explain why I like realistic mode).

True dat! I find burst fire with Steyr to be the most easiest way to turn a rugertard into mush. Just try whatever weapon helps you out (Mp5 for close range, AK and Steyr for medium/dar ranges, Minimi for close/medium range...in my opinion.) Rushing a rugertardcan spook the hell outta him, and with enough bullets...you could finish him easily!
Just another soul to burn.

If you miss the Ruger-er with you Barrett, he can get 4 shots, while you only have 1 with a big fire interval... As stated above, an auto does the trick nicely.

Then again, some people only need one shot with the Barret.  Me, if I can't nail the guy with my rifle, I just finish him with my LAW, since He'd probably have found you after that one shot.

I think m79 is good againts Ruger.

Then you're mistaken.  I'm a ruger user, and I can tell you that it owns the m79 any day.  Ruger is a long range weapon, and m79 (unless you're really skilled) is a short range weapon.  Also, the m79 is easy to dodge because it moves so slowly.  If the ruger user has any sense, he will keep his distance and kill the m79er with 2 quick shots.

Yep.  The Barret is the only weapon that can outmatch the Ruger in the sense of range, and from there comes a strong advantage.  Also, I find that nearly any weapon user is succeptable to a LAW attack.  However, same applies the other way around.
