Wraithlike, surely it at least entered your mind that EH could possibly be being sarcastic? :P He's not a moron, you realize, especially in procuring admin status here.

And, in all of those cases of religious massacre, I hope you know they were all for distorted reasons. The actual religion is not bloodthirsty; in fact, take Islam—a hardcore Muslim I know says that nonbelievers will be punished in the afterlife and that suicide-bombers, insurgents, etc. are all interpreting the Koran too literally.

It doesn't matter how many moronic religious zealots there are, the religion ITSELF is not pure evil; in fact there's quite some good stuff in those teachings. It's just too bad that so many blind so-called "believers" twist and conform the good Book to fit their own lives; believers are supposed to wrap around the religion, not the other way around, not at all. :-X

If he's kidding I hereby takeback everything I said, but If not My argument stands. As for the the religious massacres, I know they were distorted, and severe extremes, but the point was to show how easily religious beliefs are distorted and mis-interpreted.

And I in no way meant that the religion itself is evil, in fact I believe the oppisite. Religion is fine as long as people don't use it as a cause for war or murder, as it often is used. I simply believe that we can't know what's right or wrong religiously until everything's said and done and we either lay and rot in the ground, or ascend to some greater form of existance.

Edit: I still think that this isn't a topic that should be discussed in forums for a video game. At least people aren't trying to convert others.  ;D

Let the topic get ugly.  Heated arguement is better than bash-pit worthy nonsense any day.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams it is
still a beautiful world.  Strive to be happy.

I don't know yet. You could say I'm searching for a path to follow: I go to a religious ( Lutheran ) high school every day, yet Christianity alienates me. You could say I'm a satanic as MilkmanDan put it, but with an added value that means that I care for everyone I know, and help people with no real desire to get something in charge.

It's really pointless to argue about how one's views is strange/distorted/revolting, simply because each one of us has a perception that is different from another, and proclaiming that one's belief is the "Right" belief denies the right of every other person to believe their beliefs are correct.

**** YOU ALL, I'M GONE FOR 2 DAYS AND YOU CREATE A GOOD TOPIC

I believe this is the only way we can get a good topic going. Feel free to take vacations in the future.

Now, on the subject of Satanism...

If you haven't read the Satanic Bible, then please refrain from making any assumptions about the religion. The best way to learn is to look things up yourself. At the very least, read Satanism 101. This website is supported by the official CoS (Church of Satan) and contains great information for those of you who expressed interest. I am not here to preach to you every little concept, nor do I believe other self-proclaimed Satanists should do so. Until you make an effort seek out your aspirations, don't infect my world with your lack of competence.

Well. I'm just confused.
Say theres 30 relegions, kay? And theres a 1/30 chance that you get the ones that actually is real, and then theres the chance that a god doesnt exsist.
It doesn't seem fair that a god/goddess/gods/ect would let you go to "Good place/Good reincarnation/ect" just because of luck.
All gods should determine you on your character, and what you've done in your life, not how you were raised by.
I'm Christian, but I'm sorta' leaning to just praying to "something". Just praying to some sort of almighty deity.

I don't think relegion is about worshipping different gods, I think it's the basis on how you should live your life.

I dunno.
Looking for a clan. : O

Right and wrong is in the eye of the beholder, some people thinks its not wrong to steal, maybe some think its not wrong to kill.  If we could get into heaven by leading a "good" life then it would be open to the worst of the worst... long as they thought they were good.

How does a person get into heaven? If not by good acts, then perhaps faith? If that be the case, then what of those who accept Christ, swear to change, but continue their ways? If they are not really Christian, then what does it take to become one? Christianity ties a mobius strip into a knot so that you can never see the full picture.

If when I actually die, I meet god and he has a little talk with me, I'll ask why the hell he didn't make his existence more apparent then an ancient tribal story book. Don't go saying faith, I don't have that because I grew up with people saying "those guys are idiots"....

Wait, define god for me please? What is god to you?

I believe that people will want to change when they become Christians, also if they keep doing wrong then they are gonna be punished(not smiting with holy fire or anything) Becoming a christian depends on what kinda of Christian you are, you can  basically do nothing and call yourself a christian and just hope for the best, you can just say you believe in God and do whatever you want(I see that way to much) anyway what I believe anyone needs to do is simply 2 things: Accept Jesus as your Savior and live a good life according to the Bible

Well you should still be a good person, even if you're not christian. You don't need to accept jesus, he was a good man, but why do I have to worship him?

So what is god?
