I know, and I respect that :D

I've simply had quite a few experiences with people who put up walls and come up with answers, to put it simply, that are less than satisfying.  As I said, I know I come off as brash, harsh, etc...part of my nature as a scientist I guess.  I ask and ask and ask, I question constantly.  In areas where specific quantitative data is lacking, I find the reasonable much more appealing.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams it is
still a beautiful world.  Strive to be happy.

:(

† does that to me all the time.  Sorry †, but it's true.  I respect you, but I hate having discussions with you because you consistently skip important questions or only answer parts of them, even after I remind you later on.

Well what i do is just read the post and answer basically what i feel like or what i think are the main points of the post.  It can get annoying to be the only one really trying to answer questions  for my point of view, in a way that can be understood by everyone.

That's okay, it'd just be nice if you'd at least answer the questions I reiterate.

We can start now. :)

How did you decide that the Bible was correct when it says that sodomy is wrong?

Well man when you become a christian you basically start to look at things differently and one of those things are right and wrong.  The Bible says its wrong, and I believe it.  To be honest my answer my never really be what you want.  Its just a belief I have.

And do you believe that everything the Bible says is right is right, wrong is wrong, or are there exceptions?

Sadly, that's because of the media, IMO.

Why do people convert to Islam?

Because Islam is simple. There are only five basic rules to follow, the first one requiering strict monoteism, and the other four define your every day life. That's pretty much it.

Every religion can be simplified or made more complex. Everything can be summarized or expanded.

But Islam doesn't need simplification to be simple. Islam-fundamented nations use rules which are written in the Khuran ( spelling? ), basically everything is covered in it what someone needs in his every day life.

True, the Bible is the same kind of guidance: but when compared, Christianity is much more complicated than Islam at it's core.

Ahh see that's where separation of church and state comes in handy. :D Stuff like that is sad, the message of most religions is a message of peace and love, Christianity included.  Stoning the sinners was equivalent to the Inquisition.  Both the result of human corruption and error.

"But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. (13:9)
And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God..."

Human corruption?
