Hello, in the old forums were a topic with a shading program.

Could somebody post here a link to a [ANY] program wich can shade colours ?

Adobe Photoshop
The Gimp
Paint Shop Pro

My favourite is Photoshop, because it is a very powerful and versatile program in many areas of digital photo editing. Though, very expensive. The Gimp is free, so you might wanna check that out first.

I have never used Gimp, but it might be cool, because it's free and supports Photoshop plugins. I use a free paintshop version, that can't be no longer downloaded and don't ask me why because I don't know.

Paint shop pro 9.

Has a burn brush tool, very handy and fast shading.
Get it thru wa*cough* ...in a shop for a decent price ;D

BTW, GIMP is OSS, which is better than free. Ask FLAB if you don't belive me. It also has a burn brush.

Also, you should at least glance at GraphicsGale. It's very good for spriting and pixel art, and has much better pallet support than Paint.
