Another use for cha¡nsaw

I know this will not be implemented.
I know people won't like it.   :)

When you prone or crouch using chainsaw, you accelerate during a very few seconds launching (using chainsaw as a little moto) you across the polygon giving to you a small boost(to use with jet flying proning).
BUT you can't make damage to other soldier AND you chainsaw get destroyed at the end of the process. And you end with no secondary weapon.

Really I just want different uses to present weapons in different context situations to add more fun to game.

Do you really need two "no" choices? The chainsaw is effective as is minus lag issues. There's no need to try to boost it's power or make it a one use weapon given it's already limited range and "not quite" one-hit kill ability.

Time ago I wrote this idea too. And people said no too.

I don't want to boost its power.
Only to boost the player. I want the soldier with more agility. Because evasion movements can be very amused.

It's fun to make others think you will make a movement and you will not make it.

This will not change chainsaw. Simply add a tactical movement.

Tactical? Seems it'd be more annoying that useful.
I vote no. Chainsaws aren't THAT tough, not even in Soldat.
At leas you thought of a creative idea that prbably wouldn't be too hard to program. xD

In the old forums days, this was suggested but it was a bit different.
I believe it was along the lines that the soldat would have a launch attack with the saw, propelling them forward as the proned and saw'd.

A speed boost chained to a self destructing weapon go beyond a "tactical movement" addition. Plus, it really doesn't seem right to me to give a player added benefits for choosing a weapon that is currently fairly balanced with others. Would the knife have the ability to slide along all polygons? Socom air dashing in any direction? LAW users get the ability to bat away grenades? It just opens a can of worms the game doesn't need in my opinion, and the last thing Soldat needs is more mucking up the game's balance.

I don't know how. Soldat doesn't need more weapons but these little things  that add more possibilities and fun.

Do you know if Soldat is finished?
I don't know it.
Perhaps you thinks that.
