I am a fan of making custom weapons through the Weapons configuration settings. The freedom we have is great, but why not make it more flexible by adding more settings? This would probably also help MM in later versions of soldat. Here is my Proposition

Bulletbounces=0
Progressiveload=0

Ok, so the things that have been added are scope (see mistercharles' post), Bulletweight (how much your bullet falls eg. 0 would float -10 would rise) Position (0=use in any position, 1=need to be crouching or laying down 2= need to be laying down) Speedincrease (progressively increses that speed of your bullet until it hits something [would make an interesting law]) Firestyle (0 = full auto. 1 = single shot. 2 = two round burst. 3 = three round burst etc.) Exploderadius (see numgun's post) Bulletbounces (set how many times you want you bullet to bounce off walls) and Progressiveload (0=Normal 1=spas-like).

So what does everybody think?

Yeah, it is a good idea. Think of how easy it would be to have futuristic gravity guns, railguns, all that awesome stuff.

dont forget: Explosionradius

bigger the value = bigger splash damage. Bigger splash damage = nukes!
For negative values = sucks you in! sucks you in = vacuum cleaners in soldat!

I like the idea.  :)
But I don't understand why mods are only to weapons.
You could change gravity, and other settings  of soldier for every map not only for a server.

YES! However, Scope should be 0-255, 0 being no scope, 128 being 50% scope (1.5 screens), 255 being 100% scope (2 screens, much further than the barret), and so on. More flexibility.

(numgun's is awsome too :))

How about an instagib option? I want to be able to through my knife at people and have them unrealisticly explode al over the place.

would be sweet! also needs a parameter to select single/auto/(burst) mode and the reload style (spas or normal)

I smell unreal tournament here...

Anyways the instagib is this:
A one-shot kill weapon that makes your gut and blood splatter insanely.

Heres an example what he meant:


Its useless tho. all you have to do is make you weapon damage 10,000,000+
so its basicly possible already.

To make a knife explode on hit, change Exploderadius from 0 to whatever you like, but you probably wont get it back...

But it's not practical; it would only be for your own Knife-benefit :P Now, everyone could use a scoperun= feature in their mods, but instagib=true? Heh.
