Farthest Sniping Distance...EVER! XD

I'm not good with map names, but once I retrieve them from my laptop at home, I'll edit it into the first post.

Anyway, upon trying to get aquainted with sniping, which I still have to do, I chose to take advantage of the fact that you could see what was in the barret's bullet path providing that it sails clear.

My first long distance shot was around 120m, someway half cross a map. Which map, I forget.
The second long distance shot was aroun 170m. I forgot how far that sucker traveled but it hit it's mark.
The third long distance shot I remember was 197 (point something something I forget) meters. I forgot when it happened but I know I was determined to beat it like I am now.

MY last long distance shot record ranged to 300.91m which was all the way across the friggin map. I used a clear path across the top portion of the map and had to calibrate my aim to keep it from colliding into any portion of the cieling or ground.


This wasn't the moment I spoke of but this is the map where it happened. I made that shot from the a certain point in the red base. It's possible to do so from the blue base as well.

Since then, I've retained record of that information and am looking to break that record as well as make and break others too.

Neither am I. I listed it because it's just about all I have as one who dun snipe much.

my record was 264m with the barret. It was a nice blindshot : )
Btw, what server was that?

And your kill/death ratio is just amazing... (atleast for me.)
I guess ill have to try be more defensive next time, because I usually just rush and blow everything in my way. (I <3 that style)

Thanks. That ratio was hard to obtain by my standards seeing as my deaths outweigh my kills by far half of the time. So, like the barret record, I wanted to make a record of how well I did there too. And I'm usually like that too, but being the decoy, I play the dummy, rush in and half the time get my way with the forwardness if I choose to not be evasive.

I'm lookin to beat that 31:1 ratio but the way my PC runs often, I doubt I'll get there any time soon.

Nice distance by the way, 264m. I think I actually beat the record once on the same map but not aware of what I did, I looked down to see the information fade, so I don't know if I actually beat it or not. XP.

hmm, meh best shot was spawnkillin in bgretydews duck hunt. prolly 200-400 meters. prolly the earlier. anywho, wats ur best range on a double kill one shot? 160m, teh zombie server.lol. decapitated them, an later went on to get like, 3 cheaters from meh nice spot.

I've done exactly the same thing on that map once on bravo team while holding the enemy flag. I don't remember what the distance was, but it was a REALLY lucky shot because it hit a proned barret camper right in the face, somewhere just behind where the alpha flag spawns.

Listen.. im camping carl and your an idiot... everytime i shoot its 250 freaking meters and it hits every freaking time i can snipe across the map and i do so because it makes my stats better at every soldat place that holds stats so you shut your freaking mouth

okay.. Seriously sniping is easy for me i started before chakra was born in the gaming world of soldat.. my loves of soldat have not been touched.. the new barret sucks the way it shoots but i already obtained godly power within 3.4 miliseconds of touching it..

If i had to show all the pictures of my distant shots like that there would not be enough space ON the worlds harddrives to hold that many pictures.. okay?\

Hmm...long-distance sniping eh?  I used to do a fair bit of this.  Mostly on Inf maps though, systmaticly picking off all of blue-team's camping spots.  Some maps are open enough and have just the right angles that you can spawn-camp them from accross the map.  I've gotten my fair share of 200+ meter kills, and I agree that it is about as easy as Camping_Carl makes it out to be.  You just take a few calibration shots 'til you're homed in on a spot in particular (where you suspect an enemy is), then shoot.   Don't move your cursor, except to adjust your aim by pixels.  It gets challenging though, when the guy on the other end of the map figures out your camping spot though.

It's a lot harder on realistic, since your bullet-tracking won't actually show you any people, so theres a lot more guesswork.  I haven't really done much of this since I moved to playing mostly R/S games.
