Actually I.E. is slightly faster then firefox and has less security holes. I will try to find the website that explanes all this, you will even get banned from one of the firefox forums for posting it!

But Firefox owns all.

So many plugins. Right now I have grease monkey, foxy tunes, video downloader 1.0 and 2.0, faster fox, and a few others I can't think of right now. It owns all.

you are the only person I've ever seen to say that IE is faster and has fewer security holes than firefox. Mind taking the time to find your source?

If you're talking about that group of people who analyzed the source code of firefox and found a ton of coding bugs, that really doesn't count. Firefox is a huge program with about 40MB of source code. A couple hundred small bugs is nothing. Also, you can't use that to compare it to IE since IE is closed-source and no such testing has ever been done to it. if IE's code was tested, I suspect the number of bugs and security holes would be easily 10 to 100 times higher than that of firefox.

As for speed... I just have no idea what you're talking about. IE randomly takes 20 seconds to do things when I click on something simple, using a ton of disk activity to load some obscenely large backend or do something completely unrelated.

edit: on another note, I've been using firefox 2 for the past day or so, and I must say that I'm liking what I'm seeing. there are a lot of small changes and useful features that are very, very nice.

Some more data on versions in specific. This will be interesting to watch as IE7 is installed on more and more peoples' computers. I suspect that IE usage will continue to drop and FX will increase to 2.0, but the remaining IE usage will become mostly IE7
