Applaud and Smites ?

It would be cool if someone could tell me what fuck (sry) is the "applauds" and "smites" links that appear under someones avatar.
Moderators, here's a suggestion: next time you add a new feature in this forum, be friendly to tell us wtf it means, OK ?

If you weren't completely oblivious to everything that's been going on in the forums, you'd realise that karma (applaud/smite) has been around for over a month and there's been several topics about it. Basically, the applaud link adds 1 point to karma and the smite link removes a point. These points judge how well you contribute to the forums.
