I really dont think its possible to make a one hit kill weapon fair to all the other guns, unless they have a drastic startup time, which would be stupid.

While they're reloading, run at them. It's possible to jump a little, jet as though you're going all the way up then suddenly fall back down again. Keep repeating, eventually they'll either fire and (hopefully) miss or you'll be able to get several shots on them first.
I have seen complaints about the m72 law, but it doesnt bother me because of its painfully long reload time and because it has to be on the ground to use it.
It's always possible to fake your movements so that they shoot too early.I tried that too, it worked very few of the times, but currently its nearly impossible to shift into another direction fast enough to actually fake them out. It still worked very few of the times, but you can't fake someone out when they come over to your side of the island...
Best thing you can do to dodge a M79 grenade is the backflip
In response to the original statement of this thread.. I think that you've pointed out an issue with one hit kill weapons that Halo 2 and Call of Duty 2 have a brilliant solution for... auto-regenerating health, that starts after a firefight ends. I don't think that it would ruin soldat at all.
no, at elast twice a day I'll go into a server and as soon as I spawn 5 m79s' hit me.and again, and again, and again, and again, then I leave.you can't dodge because there's like 10 grenades coming at once.that's why I like small servers with few people.
