@ds dude: Remove the Internet Explorer icon from your desktop, install Firefox, use it instead, and remove the other icons that you never use or find worthless. Maybe kill the Encarta ones, That Microsoft Office one in the 2nd column, Quicktime, AOL PC Checkup. and that Netscape thing?
Guys can you help me with my desktop. I think it looks a little plain. :-\

Remove the Linkin Park folder, alt-ctrl-del, end explorer.exe and svchost.exe (all of them). Your computer will run much smoother afterwards.
Ok, Thanks, I'm redoing mine.

click for full size.  This is on my laptop.  I wanted to use fluxbox on my laptop so that I could have a very fast interface and customize it as I wanted.  The eterm in the upper left and health stats in the lower left are "stuck" on the desktop, so that they're always behind everything and out of the way.  Both are extremely useful.
Flab, Can you show me how to put the eterm and health stats on my laptop? I run linux. I like how to put your CPU usage and stuff on it.

BBlean <3

I stopped using it, Litestep, and pretty much all alternate shells while ago; I'm sticking with the boring old explorer for now.

ds dude:

this should show you what I'm doing.  These are entries in these two files

Quote from: .fluxbox/apps
[app](eterm_desktop)
[Sticky]{yes}
[Hidden]{yes}
[Layer]{12}
[end]
[startup] {Eterm --name eterm_desktop -x --trans --itrans --double-buffer --scrollbar=0 --tint 0x555555 --buttonbar=0 -g 80x24+0+0 -c green -f green --cursor-text-color black }

and I added a line to .fluxbox/startup that says:
conky -x 0 -y 40 -u3 &

These things only work in fluxbox.  conky might work in gnome or KDE, I've never tried it

Correct. Seeing flies on his linux made me want that style again for my computer. I do love the navigation system and because it's not 100% Vista compatible(or because I didn't install it but put it inte the startup folder :P) that I know of It will show the start button when opening an application so I can use that one too If i feel like it.

Thanks. I made it myself you know :')

I realized that it was the styles that were compatible blackbox not the plugins. Though I found some. Not as fancy but enough to satisfy me.
